In 9M 2017 Astarta increased consolidated revenues by 61%

The agri-industrial holding Astarta-Kiev increased consolidated revenues by 61% to EUR 349 million.

The company reports net profit at EUR 74 million, which is by 6% lower y-o-y.

Astarta-Kiev's exports generated 61% of total sales.

According to the report, operating cash flow increased by 30% to EUR 71 million.

"As sugar and crop prices continue to be subdued, efficiency at all stages of operations remains a focus of management. In all business segments, we aim to achieve competitive production costs and high quality of produce to compete in the current tough soft commodities markets," comments Viktor Ivanchik, CEO of Astarta-Kiev.

Reference: the EBRD provided Astarta-Kiev with a loan of US$ 25 million. The funds will be used to construct, extend or acquire grain and sugar storage facilities in the Poltava and Khmelnytsky regions of Ukraine.
