Sugar plant in Volyn region plans to construct a biogas complex

Gnidava Sugar Refinery, a part of the Western Sugar Group, plans to construct a biogas complex.

Ukrsugar informs that generation of electricity for a common network will be carried out by burning pulp on cogenerators.

"Due to the excessive quantity of sugar beet in the region, there is an urgent need for the Biopec plant to function with higher productivity and to diversify the production," said Evgeniy Makara, the Secretary of the Supervisory Board of the sugar plant.

Gnidava sugar plant plans to produce about 70 thousand tons of sugar.
