Ukraine in September-October 2017/18 exported 59 thousand tons of sugar

Export of sugar in September–October of MY 2017/18 amounts to 59.3 thousand tons.

National Association of Sugar Producers of Ukraine (Ukrsugar) informs that Ukrainian producers exported 42.3 thousand sugar, which is 2.5 times more than in September.

"The export geography has not changed much. The main deliveries were made to Azerbaijan — 29%, Sri Lanka — 18%, Tajikistan — 9%, and Sudan — 8%," says Ruslana Butylo, the head of the analytical department of Ukrsugar.

According to the Association's estimates, in MY 2017/18 sugar export will be about 500 thousand tons, while production will remain at the level of the previous year — about 2 million tons.
