Export of sunflower oil from Ukraine in MY 2017/18 to decrease by 9%

According to analysts, exports of sunflower oil from Ukraine in MY 2017/18 will decrease by 9% to 5.3 million tons.

It is noted that according to preliminary data, in October 2017 export supplies of sunflower oil amounted to 530 thousand tons, which is 22% higher than in the same period last year, reports APK-Inform.

The growth is facilitated by high carry-overs of sunflower oil of MY 2016/17. With the exhaustion of these carry-overs the export rate will decrease.

Sunflower oil export in September 2017 amounted to 310 thousand tons, which is 22% less than in August 2017. Compared to last year's level, deliveries increased by 14% as compared with sunflower oil production, which showed a decrease in September.

Earlier it was reported that Ukraine in January-October 2017 exported 62.98 thousand tons of sunflower seeds for the amount of USD 25.98 million.
