Export of beef in Jan-Oct amounts to 34 thousand tons

According to the results of January-October, 2017, Ukraine exported 33.81 thousand tons of fresh and frozen beef for the amount of USD 94.01 million.

Export made up 9.72 thousand tons of fresh or chilled beef and 24.09 thousand tons of frozen beef, the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine reports.

The main importer of fresh beef in January-October was Belarus (USD 24.89 million) with 9.62 thousand tons (99.97% of the total volume).

Frozen beef was exported to Azerbaijan (USD 14.01 million), Kazakhstan (USD 15.15 million) and Belarus (USD 12.63 million). Exports to these countries amounted to 5.95 thousand tons, 5.3 thousand tons and 4.42 thousand tons of frozen beef, respectively.

Reference: the expected production volumes of beef (295 thousand tons) and pork (621 thousand tons) in 2017 will be among the lowest.
