Lemken Azurit 9 seeder awarded Machine of the Year 2018

Lemken Azurit 9 seeder was awarded Machine of the Year 2018 at Agritechnica 2017.

In 2018, two units will be brought to Ukraine for demonstrations. So far, the applications for the demonstrations on the farms are received.

Peculiarities of Lemken Azurit 9 seeder:

  • innovative seeding system DeltaRow;
  • trapeze packer rollers, providing preliminary compaction of rows;
  • separate sowing units are provided with seeds from a central seed hopper using the Seed on Demand system;
  • the minimum row spacing, provided by the sowing units of the Azurit machine, is 37.5 cm.

"Lemken takes a significant step from traditional technologies, in which seed sowing is carried out in a single row. The designers of the company are betting on staggered twin sub-rows that are spaced 12.5 cm apart. This seeding pattern gives the crop 70% more space to grow, which improves the flow of water and nutrients. With the help of the Azurit seeder, it is possible to accurately and efficiently sow corn, soybeans, sunflower or rapeseed at a speed of up to 15 km/h," stressed Artem Kalashnik, the CEO of LEMKEN-Ukraine.
