Sugar producers report the increase of output

As of November 22, Ukrainian sugar plants produced 1.53 million tons of sugar.

National Association of Sugar Producers of Ukraine (Ukrsugar) informs that the volume of sugar beet processing amounted to 10.8 million tons.

Earlier it was reported that in Ukraine sugar beet harvesting is carried out on 92% of the area. Vasiliy Dolinsky, the analyst of commodity markets and agriculture of the NASPU Uksugar, noted that the sugar beet harvesting campaign this year is faster, since on the same date last year volumes of harvested sugar beet were 6% less.

The sugar beet harvest makes up 13.05 million tons, with the average productivity of 45.2 tons/ha. The sugar beet yield has decreased by 2.6 t/ha (or 5%) if compared to last year's volumes.
