Ukraine in October exported 367 thousand tons of sunflower meal

Export of sunflower meal from Ukraine in October 2017 amounted to 366.7 thousand tons, having become the maximum for this month.

UkrAgroConsult informs that compared to the previous month, the volume of export trade almost doubled (192.3 thousand tons), and compared to October last year, the increase amounts to 4.8% (350 thousand tons).

"As a whole, the current MY 2017/18 demonstrates high rates of export shipments of sunflower meal, taking the second position after the record of MY 2012/13. Thus, over the four months of MY 2017/18 , 559 thousand tons of sunflower meal were delivered to foreign markets, which is 13.8% more compared to the same period of the previous year (491.3 thousand tons)," analysts said.

Reference: in the current MY 2017/18, key importers of Ukrainian sunflower meal — the EU countries and Belarus continued to increase the volume of purchases, making 58% and 17% of all exports, respectively.
