1.8 MT of sugar produced since the beginning of MY 2017/18

In Ukraine, since the beginning of MY 2017/18 as of December 11, the production of sugar reached 1.81 million tons.

The National Association of Sugar Producers of Ukraine (Ukrsugar) reports that sugarbeet processing amounts to 12.67 million tons.

It is noted that in MY 2017/18 46 sugar plants were functioning, 24 of which have already completed the production season.

Reference: in January-November 2017, Ukraine exported 551 thousand tons of sugar, which is 64% more than for the same period last year (335.25 thousand tons).
