In 5 months of MY 2017/18 export of barley decreased by 6.5%

In 5 months of MY 2017/18, Ukraine exported 3.73 million tons of barley, which is 6.5% less than for the same period of MY 2016/17, informs UkrAgroConsult.

It is noted that the current rates of barley exports correspond to the dynamics of MY 2015/16, when 4.4 million tons of barley were exported.

"In November, barley exports from Ukraine continued to decline, which is traditional for this period of the season. By the end of the month, Ukraine exported 167,400 tons of barley, which is 44% less than in the same period of the previous marketing year," the report says.

In November, barley was exported to traditional markets: Saudi Arabia, Libya, Tunisia, Israel, Iran and others.

Earlier it was reported, that in January-November 2017 export of corn totaled 17.15 million tons and amounted to USD 2.66 billion.
