Kusto Agro elevators made more than two turn-overs this season
The elevator company Kusto Agro carried out more than 2 turn-overs and exceeded the planned operational and financial indicators.
"Given the high moisture content and significant volumes, the elevators are overloaded. All the silos on our elevators in Kazatin, Zhmerinka and Rososha have been contracted in advance. If grain is dry, it is sold from warehouses. And if a year is like this one, then everyone wants to store it on the elevator. It is understandable — grain trade at the end of the year and during harvest campaign may have different tendencies, because prices tend to grow at the end of the year," says Diana Televan, CEO of the elevator company.
According to her, in addition to natural factors that directly influenced the specifics of the operation of elevators this year, there have also been significant changes in the regulatory documents governing the activity of elevators and the quality indicators of grain.
"In particular, we accept grain under the GATS, and we must ship according to quality requirements in export contracts, which are usually different from our standards. Laboratories in the current year are more scrupulous in conducting analyzes and monitoring the requirements. Our reputation depends on them, and they never failed," says Diana Televan.
