Export of soybean oil decreased by 24% over three months of MY 2017/18

Export of soybean oil over 3 months of MY 2017/18 fell to 32.6 thousand tons, which is almost a quarter lower than the indicator for the same period last season (42.9 thousand tons), informs UkrAgroConsult.

This year in November, exports of soybean oil from Ukraine amounted to 11.2 thousand tons against 12.4 thousand tons a month earlier and 20.2 thousand tons in November last year.

"In the current season, European countries remain the basic export destination for Ukrainian soybean, accounting for 58% of all shipments, with purchases increasing by 16.6%. In addition, China having increased the import of the Ukrainian product by more than 3.5 times, holds 34% of all exports," the report says.

Reference: over the first two months of the current marketing year, Ukraine produced 27.2 thousand tons of soybean oil against 19.8 thousand tons a year earlier.
