Biogas complex in Khmelnytsky region is officially opened

December 22, 2017. The official opening of a biogas complex with the capacity of 15.6 MW took place on the territory of the Teofipol sugar plant in Khmelnytsky region.

Agriculture and Alternative Energy public group informs on its Facebook page that the first stage of the complex with a capacity of 5.109 MW will operate on the pulp from the Teofipol sugar plant.

"The uniqueness of the 2nd stage with a capacity of 10.5 MW lies in the use of a specially grown energy crop — silage corn," the message says.

It was reported earlier that the Teofipol sugar refinery began producing electricity. It is the second largest biogas complex in Ukraine with the capacity of 5.1 MW.
