Corn reserves in Ukraine amount to 14 million tons

As of December 1, 2017 corn reserves at processing and storing enterprises amounted to 14.23 million tons, which is 368 thousand tons more than the corresponding indicator in 2016 — 14.59 million tons.

The State Statistics Service of Ukraine informs that the highest reserves of corn are at the enterprises of Poltava (2.15 million tons), Chernigov (1.75 million tons) and Vinnytsia (1.49 million tons) regions.

It is noted that the lowest stocks of corn are at the enterprises of Zakarpattia (35.4 thousand tons), Chernivtsi (55.4 thousand tons) and Zaporozhye (68.3 thousand tons) regions.

Earlier it was reported that Ukraine in January-November 2017 exported 17.15 million tons of corn to the amount of USD 2.66 billion.
