USPA announced a tender for dredging in the ports of Azov

The Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA) announced open tender procedures on the selection of a contractor to conduct operational dredging in the ports of Mariupol and Berdyansk.

The expected cost of works is UAH 499.9 million. Proposals are accepted until February 2, 2018. Applications for participation in the tender can be submitted by national and foreign companies, in accordance with the technical requirements and conditions of the tender documentation.

It is noted that the approximate amount of dredging works in the port of Mariupol is 1.4 million m³, in the Berdyansk port — 1.5 million m³. It is expected that the work will be completed within 8 months.

"Azov ports require the urgent dredging. In this water area there is a more intensive flooding than, for example, in the ports of Bolshaya Odessa, and this calls for a regular operational dredging," stressed Raivis Veckagans, the acting CEO of the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA).
