Export of grain since the beginning of MY 2017/18 reached 22.4 MT

Since the beginning of MY 2017/18, as of January 18, 2018 export of grain from Ukraine reached 22.39 million tons, which is 2.59 million tons less than over the same period last year.

The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine reports that wheat exports for the reporting period amounted to 11.71 million tons, which is 486 thousand tons less than over the corresponding period last year.

According to the report, from the beginning of the current MY, Ukraine exported 3.91 million tons of barley (−496 thousand tons) and 6.7 million tons of corn (−1.53 million tons). Exports of rye amounted to 13.2 thousand tons.

Reference: according to the results of the first half of MY 2017/18, India holds the 8th position in the list of importers of Ukrainian wheat with the import volume of 500 thousand tons, which is 20% of the forecasted imports to this country.
