Last week export of grains from sea ports increased to 672k tons

In the period from January 27 to February 2, 672 thousand tons of grain crops were exported from the sea ports of Ukraine, which is 9% higher than a week earlier, reports APK-Inform.

It is noted that wheat demonstrated the most growth in exports over the reporting period — up to 284 thousand tons against 103 thousand tons a week earlier. Also, the volume of barley shipments increased to 48,000 tons. Corn exports decreased to 340,000 tons.

"The major volume of grain last week was exported by TIS company — 96 thousand tons. Danube Shipping and Stevedoring Company and Risoil shipped 87,000 tons and 72,300 tons, respectively," the report says.

The main grain shipments in the reporting period were made to Italy (201 thousand tons) and Turkey (90 thousand tons).

Earlier it was reported that sorghum exports in 2017 amounted to 148.3 thousand tons and were worth of USD 21.62 million.
