Over 8M of 2017/18 Ukraine increased export of rapeseed 2.2 times

Ukraine over 8 months of 2017/18 (July-January) exported 2.1 million tons of rapeseed, which 2.2 times exceeded the results of the same period a season earlier (0.9 million tons), writes APK-Inform.

The main volumes of Ukrainian oilseed crop were traditionally delivered to the EU — 82% (94% a year earlier), mainly to the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and France.

"Among other countries, we note Pakistan and Bangladesh, as well as the UAE and Israel, whose significant purchases brought South Asia and the Middle East, respectively, to the 2nd and 3rd places in the top regions-importers," the message says.

It is reported that the total volume of rapeseed exports from Ukraine to South Asia and the Middle East amounted to 12% and 5%, respectively.

Earlier it was reported that Ukraine in January 2018 exported 2.42 thousand tons of sunflower seeds worth of USD 1.11 million.
