Export of Ukrainian wheat reduced 28% in January

In January 2018, Ukraine exported 872.51 thousand tons of wheat, which is 27.89% less than over the corresponding period in 2017.

The State Fiscal Service of Ukraine informs that in monetary terms wheat exports totaled USD 145.02 million, compared to USD 187.15 million in January 2017.

The major importers of Ukrainian wheat in the reporting period are Spain (USD 36.23 million), the Philippines (USD 21.36 million) and Tunisia (USD 14.14 million). Exports to these countries amounted to 217.95 thousand tons, 128.52 thousand tons and 85.07 thousand tons of wheat, respectively.

Reference: export of Ukrainian wheat in 2017 totaled 17.31 million tons for the amount of USD 2.76 billion.
