Export of wheat flour in January exceeded 37k tons

Ukraine in January 2018 exported 37.13 thou. tons of wheat flour for the amount of USD 8.36 million.

The State Fiscal Service (SFS) reports that Ukraine exported 153 tons of flour from other types of grain (USD 57 thou.).

The main importers of Ukrainian wheat flour in the reporting period are China (USD 3 million), The UK (USD 1.02 million) and Poland (USD 0.68 million). Exports to these countries amounted to 13.83 thou. tons, 4.53 thou. tons and 3.02 thou. tons, respectively.

Ukraine exported flour from other types of grain to Portugal (USD 20 thou.), Moldova (USD 12 thou.) and Slovenia (USD 11 thou.).

Reference: the export potential of the Ukrainian flour market in 2017/18 is projected at 450 thou. tons, which is 2.2% lower than it was forecasted a month earlier, but 11.9% higher than the previous marketing year.
