Fruit and vegetables storage facility will open in Zaporozhye region

In summer 2018, the company Lana plans to open a complex for storing fruit and vegetables in Zaporozhye region.

This was reported by the manager of Ukraine Horticulture Business Development Project (UHBDP) Dmitry Nikolaev, writes AgroTimes.

The planned capacity of the complex is 3.5 thou. tons. UHBDP investments amount to about USD 100 thou.

"UHBDP finances 30% of the total cost of projects that are minimally estimated at USD 200 thou. Our assistance usually ranges between USD 50-100 thou. The implementation period of the projects is a year and a half," summed up Dmitry Nikolaev.

Reference: the harvest of fruit and berries in Ukraine in 2017 amounted to 2 million tons from 194 thou. hectares, with a productivity of 10.52 tons/ha.
