New crop wheat in Ukraine reached 24 mln tons

As of August 10, 2018, harvesting of early grains and legumes is complete on 9.3 million hectares (94% of the forecast) with a productivity of 3.45 tons/ha. The new crop is collected in the amount of 32.2 million tons, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine informs.

The volumes of harvested crops are as follows:

  • winter wheat — 23.6 mln tons from 6.2 mln hectares (97%) with the productivity of 3.77 tons/ha;
  • spring wheat — 424 thou. tons from 121 thou. hectares (61%), 3.51 tons/ha;
  • winter barley — 3.1 mln tons from 871 thou. hectares (99.9%), 3.53 tons/ha;
  • spring barley — 3.8 mln tons from 1.4 mln hectares (88%), 2.65 tons/ha;
  • peas — 762 thou. tons from 415 thou. hectares (96%), 1.83 tons/ha;
  • rye — 330 thou. tons from 124 thou. hectares (84%), 2.65 tons/ha;
  • oats — 239 thou. tons from 102 thou. hectares (52%), 2.35 tons/ha;
  • winter rapeseed — 2.5 mln tons from 967 thou. hectares (99%), 2.63 tons/ha;
  • spring rapeseed — 53 thou. tons from 26 thou. hectares (40%), 2.05 tons/ha.
