Dnipro Agro Group harvested 69 thou. tons of new crop grain

The Dnipro Agro Group of companies reports the results of harvesting campaign of early grains, legumes and winter rapeseed in 2018. As of August 9, early grain and leguminous crops were harvested on the area of 13.53 thou. hectares with a productivity of 5.1 tons per hectare. 69.06 thou. tons of new crop grain were harvested.

The volumes of harvested crops are as follows:

• winter wheat — 68.9 thou. tons from 13.42 thou. ha with the productivity of 5.14 tons/ha;
• winter barley — 1.42 thou. tons from 0.41 thou. ha with the productivity of 3.44 tons/ha;
• peas — 0.16 thou. tons from 0.11 thou. ha with the productivity of 1.45 tons/ha;
• winter rapeseed — 29.54 thou. tons from 8.22 thou. ha with the productivity of 3.59 tons/ha.

"The company is pleased with the results of harvesting campaign and the quality of grain, especially as they were achieved in extreme weather conditions (drought) that hit the southern, central and eastern Ukraine for the period of early spring fieldworks," the company notes.

Reference: as of August 1, 2018, Ukrainian agrarians are completing winter rapeseed harvesting, which is threshed in the volume of 2.4 million tons from 943 thou. hectares (97% of the forecast) with a productivity of 2.59 tons/ha.
