Seven regions in Ukraine completed early grains harvesting — Harvest Online 2018

As of August 13, 2018, in Zaporizhzhya, Kirovograd, Mykolayiv, Odesa, Kherson, Poltava and Zakarpattya regions, harvesting of early grain crops is completed.

Harvesting of early grain and leguminous crops is carried out on the area of 9.5 million hectares or 96% of the forecast. 

33 million tons of new crop are already collected with the productivity of 3.46 t/ha.

The volumes of harvested crops are as follows:

  • winter wheat — 23.9 million tons from 6.3 million hectares (99% of the forecast) with the productivity of 3.78 t/ha;
  • spring wheat — 519.4 thou. tons from 146.1 thou. hectares (74%) with the productivity of 3.56 t/ha;
  • winter barley — 3.1 million tons from 870.9 thou. hectares (99.9%) with the productivity of 3.53 t/ha;
  • spring barley — 4 million tons from 1.5 million hectares (92%) with the productivity of 2.7 t/ha;
  • peas — 713.3 thou. tons from 419 thou. hectares (96%) with the productivity of 1.84 t/ha;
  • rye — 351 thou. tons from 130.9 thou. hectares (88%) with the productivity of 2.68 t/ha;
  • oats — 300.5 thou. tons from 126.6 thou. hectares (64%) with the productivity of 2.37 t/ha.

Winter rapeseed harvesting continues: 966.8 thou. hectares of areas are threshed (99% of the forecast) and 2.5 million tons of crop are harvested with the productivity of 2.6 t/ha. Spring rapeseed harvesting results in 29.2 thou. hectares of threshed areas or 44% of the forecast. So far, the harvest stands at 29.2 thou. tons with the productivity of 2.09 t/ha.
