Exports of sunflower oil decreased by almost 11% in 2017/18

UkrAgroConsult reports that the exports of sunflower oil amounted to 4.96 million tons in 2017/18 compared to 5.43 million tons a year ago. By July, the export output lowered by 8.5% compared to that of 2016/17.
In July 2017/18, the export of sunflower oil from Ukraine amounted to 422 thousand tons, which is 3.2% less than the previous month and 17.3% less than it was last July.
The main export destinations for Ukrainian sunflower oil are:
- India - 45% of total exports (+ 21.4% compared to the previous season);
- EU - 26% (-17.5%);
- China - 9% (-13.9%).
Reference: in January-July, 2018 Ukraine exported 20.69 thousand tons of sunflower seeds, which is 62.84% (34,99 thousand tons) less than in 2017.
