Sunflower imports exceed exports by 20% in the first 7 months of 2018

The State Fiscal Service of Ukraine reports that in January-July 2018, Ukraine imported 24.97 thousand tons of sunflower seeds with a total value of USD 213.4 million, which exceeds exports by 4.24 thousand tons or 20%.
The main suppliers of sunflower to Ukraine in 2018 are:
- Turkey – 8.49 thousand tons worth USD 72.56 million;
- United States – 7.14 thousand tons worth USD 61.03 million;
- France – 3.91 thousand tons worth USD 33.47 million.
Reference: in 2017, Ukraine exported 73.23 thousand tons of sunflower seeds with a total value of USD 29.73 million.
