TIS requests the Government intervention in dredging in Yuzhny
The TransInvestService (TIS) team asks the Government to intervene in the organisation of the dredging works in the port of Yuzhny and to ensure equal working conditions for the private port operator.
"The labour union of the State Enterprise STP of Yuzhny by manipulating facts and legislation is trying to disrupt the dredging works in the internal approach channel and the operational water area at berths No. 18-22 of TIS from the current 15 m to 16-19 m. And this is despite the fact that the port itself for 4 years has, in fact, a monopoly on the depths at the berths — in 2014 they were increased to 19 m, now dredging continues at berths No. 5-6 to a record 21 m," the message says.
Dredging projects are now being implemented by the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA) practically in all ports.
"Dredging works at berths No. 18-22 will provide an additional access not only for the TIS terminals but for all port operators in Yuzhny," the TIS team adds.
Previously it was reported that USPA and TIS had signed a Memorandum of understanding on the implementation of infrastructure projects in the seaport of Yuzhny.
