Wheat shipments since the start of 2018/19 make up 5.5 mln tons

Wheat exports since the beginning of MY2018/19, as of October 3, 2018, amounted to 5.47 million tons, which is 464 thou. tons less compared to the corresponding period last year. Barley supplies also decreased to 2.15 million tons (–920 thou. tons).

According to the data of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, corn exports increased by 289 thou. tons to 1.51 million tons. Rye shipments stood at 48.7 thou. tons.

In total, Ukraine exported 9.31 million tons of grain since the start of MY2018/19. This indicator is 935 thou. tons less y-o-y.

The Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine and participants of the grain market for MY2018-2019 (effective since 01.07.2018) remained unchanged. Thus, the total agreed indicative volume of wheat exports is 16 million tons.
