The Ukrainian agricultural exports: top ten positions
In the period from January to September 2018, Ukraine exported food and agricultural goods for the amount of USD 11.4 billion. This is reported by the Analytical Department of the Ukrainian Food Export Board (UFEB) with reference to the data of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine (SFSU).
The TOP-10 export positions for the nine months of 2018 include:
- Sunflower oil — USD 2.9 bln;
- Corn — USD 2.3 bln;
- Wheat — USD 2 bln;
- Rapeseed — USD 700 mln;
- Soybeans — USD 600 mln;
- Barley — USD 460 mln;
- Poultry meat — USD 380 mln;
- Sugar — USD 150 mln;
- Chocolate — USD 119 mln;
- Soybean oil — USD 117 mln.
“Compared to the previous year, the volume of poultry meat sales increased the most — by 29%, chocolate exports increased by 21%. Among the products that have improved its positions are soybean oil (by 18%), rapeseed (15%) and wheat (6%),” UFEB informs.
The total volume of products from the TOP-10 is 85% of the total value of exported goods of the food and agricultural industry.
Reference: in January-August 2018, the turnover of agricultural and food products between Ukraine and the EU countries reached USD 5.4 billion, which is USD 330 million more than over the corresponding period last year.
