Wheat shipments down 598 thou. tons since the start of 2018/19

Wheat shipments since the beginning of MY2018/19, as of October 24, 2018, reached 7.09 million tons, which is 598 thou. tons less compared to the corresponding period last year. Barley supplies also decreased to 2.53 million tons, which is 906 thou. tons less.

By the data of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, corn exports increased by 814 thou. tons to 2.25 million tons. Rye shipments stood at 58.6 thou. tons.

In total, Ukraine exported 12.11 million tons of grain since the start of MY2018/19. This indicator is 481 thou. tons less y-o-y.

By October 23, 2018, grain and leguminous crops in Ukraine had been harvested on 13 mln ha or 88% of the areas. 54.5 mln tons of grain are threshed with a productivity of 4.19 tons/ha.
