Flour exports from Ukraine in Jan-Oct fell by 30%

In January-October 2018, Ukraine shipped for export 250.09 thou. tons of flour worth of USD 57.8 million. This exported volume is 30% less than it was delivered in the relevant prior-year period.

The State Fiscal Sevice of Ukraine informs that in the reporting period wheat flour exports reached 249.5 thou. tons (USD 57.1 million) and other kinds of flours — 1.43 thou. tons (USD 717 thou.).

Wheat flour was delivered to the following countries:

  • China — 67.42 thou. tons (USD 15.43 million);
  • Moldova — 30.7 thou. tons (USD 7.04 million);
  • Palestine — 27.5 thou. tons (USD 6.29 million).

Other kinds of flours were supplied to Slovenia (381.2 tons), Poland (225.6 tons) and Moldova (203.6 tons).

By the preliminary data, since the start of MY2018/19, the maximum amount of wheat flour (19 thou. tons) was exported, which is twice as low than in the relevant period of MY2017/18.
