Processing of sugar beet exceeded 12 mln t

Sugar beet processing in Ukraine reached 12.15 mln t as of December 21, 2018.
By the information of the National Association of Sugar Producers of Ukraine (Ukrsugar), sugar output amounts to 1.65 mln t.

The Ukrsugar experts reduced the forecast of sugar production in MY2018/19 (September 2018–August 2019) to 1.7 million tons from 2 million tons, due to the low sugar content of sugar beet.
Sugar production season started 40 enterprises.
