Epicenter K vests UAH 2 bln in agribusiness
The Epicenter K group of companies investing in agribusiness should reach UAH 2 bln. This was informed by the owner of the company and MP Aleksander Gerega, AgroPolit.com reports.
By his estimates, in 2019 the total investment in the holding's agricultural division will amount to several billion of hryvnias.
"UAH 2 bln is a minimum amount. In autumn we will have the end amount," Aleksander Gerega said.
As the owner of the company noted, the main problem for all agrarians is the cost of attracted loans, and this problem must be solved at the state level.
In his opinion, last year's state launched program for compensating the cost of Ukrainian agricultural equipment is a positive step in this direction, but this is only one measure of many. He added that in 2018 under this program the company received UAH 27 million of compensation for purchased Ukrainian equipment for the construction of elevators.
“There are rumours though that we receive subsidies from the budget. This is not a subsidy, but our reward for supporting the Ukrainian manufacturer,” Aleksander Gerega concluded.
Earlier the owner of Epicenter K informed that the company considered landbank increase by the end of 2019.
