Epicenter K set to increase its land bank to 150 thou. hectares

The Epicenter K group of companies is set to increase its farmland bank by 30-35 thou. ha thus forming a total of 150 thou. ha. This was informed by the owner of the company and MP Aleksander GeregaAgroPolit.com reports.

“Today the land bank question is not so urgent. The more important is how to manage this land effectively. We don't want to focus only on crop production. We are now in search of the right way to recycling. Today we control 120 thou. hectares. But there are potential 30-35 thou. hectares which we can add to our current land bank. We are forming a giant elevator business: this year we will increase storage capacity by 1 million tons,” Aleksander Gerega notes.

The businessman also commented on the plans regarding the expansion of the company's landbank.

“By the end of 2019, there will be about 150 thou. hectares. We would like to do this before the autumn sowing campaign. How will this be done? Now I cannot say for sure. Events move differently,” Aleksander Gerega says.
