Grain export 2018/19: shipments increased by 5.5 mln t

Grain exports from Ukraine as of February 20th reached 31.31 million tons. The Agrarian Ministry reports that this volume is 5.54 million tons more than the indicator for the last year's comparative period.

The volumes of exported crops are as follows:

  • wheat — 12.29 million tons (0.39 mln tons less y-o-y);
  • corn — 15.12 million tons (6.12 mln tons more y-o-y);
  • barley — 3.27 million tons (0.71 mln tons less y-o-y);
  • rye — 87.4 thou. tons (70.6 thou. tons more y-o-y).

In the period from February 9th to February 1th5, 877 thou. tons of main grain crops were exported from the Ukrainian seaports. This indicator is 33 pct less than the volume shipped in the prior year's comparative period — 1.31 million tons.
