NABU made searches in Berdyansk Sea Port

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) made searches in the territory of the State Enterprise "Berdyansk Commercial Sea Port" in Zaporizhzhya region, UNIAN informs with reference to NABU report.

“NABU detectives are conducting investigative actions in the territory of the enterprise in connection with the recent purchase of new equipment by the port, namely an auto crane. According to the port authorities, equipment worth UAH 2.5 million was purchased through the Prozorro system, but the NABU detectives still had questions regarding the legality of this acquisition,” the report says.

As the company noted, the administration cooperates with the NABU representatives and provided all the necessary documents. Investigative actions of law enforcement officers did not affect the seaport's operations.

In the period from March 16 to March 22, 2019, 856 thou. tons of main grain crops were shipped in Ukrainian seaports for export, 31 pct less week-to-week (1 240 thou. tons, taking into account data updates).
