USDA improved corn yield projection in Ukraine

USDA experts increased the projection for corn production in Ukraine in 2018/19 by 0.31 million tons (1 pct) to 35.81 million tons.
In the March report, corn yield forecast stood at 35.5 million tons.
According to USDA analysts, corn exports are expected to reach 29.5 million tons, 0.5 million tons more from the October forecast.
The world corn production forecast has been increased to 1,110.38 million tons against 1,101.16 million tons in March and 1,076.4 million tons in 2017/18.
As of April 10th, corn sowing campaign in Ukraine covered the area of 58 thou. hectares or 1 pct of the planned areas.
