Ukraine listed in the TOP 10 global sugar exporters

In 2018, Ukrainian export of conventional sugar is estimated at USD 217 million, thus ensuring the country a position in the TOP 10 largest white sugar exporters.
By the data of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Ukraine is one of the major exporters of conventional sugar in 2018.
“It is a significant event. We produced the first organic sugar in our state. 10 years ago, the first domestic organic products appeared, and today we are witnessing the dynamic development of organic production in Ukraine,” acting Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Olga Trofimtseva commented.
According to her, Ukraine is increasing the range of processed organic products, as such products are in demand in foreign markets.
Previously it was reported that the global sugar deficit in 2019/20 was expected at 1.36 million tons.
