Astarta-Kyiv sugar sales down 42 pct

The agri-industrial holding Astarta-Kyiv reduced sugar sales volumes by 42 per cent or by 53.96 thou. tons in Q1 2019.

The average realized price dropped 15 per cent to 9.82 thou. UAH/t.

The company cut wheat sales by 79 per cent to 10.75 thou. tons vs. the previous period's 50.2 thou. tons. Corn sales increased 3.3x to 304.21 thou. tons, barley sales improved from 9 tons to 2.41 thou. tons.

Previously Astarta-Kyiv reported EUR 21 million losses for the year 2018 comparing to the profit of EUR 62 million a year ago.
