Grains processing in Ukraine dropped 20 pct

In January-April 2019, grain milling in Ukraine reduced to 532 thou. tons, UNIAN reports.

This figure is 17.4 per cent lower from the corresponding period in 2018.

“At the same time, cereals production increased 1.3 per cent and amounted to 64.3 thou. tons, while mixed feed production grew 5.7 per cent to 628.8 thou. tons,” the report indicates.

The total grain processing in the four months of the current year decreased 3 per cent from the relevant period in 2018 to 1.6 million tons.

Previously it was reported that in the first quarter of 2019 transshipment of grain and milled products by Ukrzaliznytsia amounted to 14.48 million tons, 19.9 per cent higher than in 2018.
