Mineral fertilizers provision account for 50 pct

To support the needs of summer-autumn fieldwork, agricultural enterprises purchased 290.6 thou. t of mineral fertilizers. Taking into account the carry-overs, the fertilizer supply is 371.4 thou. t or 50% of the required volume, SuperAgronom.com reports.

By the data of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, 736.6 thou. t of mineral fertilizers were procured by agricultural enterprises to carry out a complex of summer-autumn field works in 2019.

The highest level of fertilizer supply is now observed in the farms of Odesa (88% of the required amount has been purchased), Dnipropetrovsk (80%) and Kherson (78%) regions.

Odesa (37.4 thou. t), Kirovohrad (36.2 thou. t) and Poltava (33.1 thou. t) regions are the leaders in terms of purchase volumes.

Earlier it was reported that agriproducers had completed 51% of field works, having planted 549 thou. hectares by August 23rd.
