Harvest Online 2019: key corn yielding regions

As of September 26th, harvesting of grain and leguminous crops in Ukraine was conducted on the area of 11.1 mln ha or 72% of the total. The crop reached 45.1 mln t using the average yield of 4.086 t/ha (2018: 3.62 t/ha).

The highest yield of corn was reported at the farms of Volyn (9.51 t/ha), Zhytomyr (8.64 t/ha), Cherkasy (8.19 t/ha), Vinnytsya (8.13 t/ha) and Khmelnytsky (8.13 t/ha) regions.

By the Harvest Online 2019 project, the new crop volumes are as followed:

  • buckwheat — 72 thou. t on 54 thou. ha or 80%;
  • millet — 138 thou. t on 74 thou. ha or 82%;
  • corn — 5.4 mln t on 899 thou. ha or 18%;
  • soybean — 2 mln t on 867 thou. ha or 55% yielding 2.34 t/ha;
  • sunflower — 9.6 mln t on 4.2 mln ha or 71%;
  • sugar beet — 1.6 mln t on 36 thou. ha or 17% yielding 44.5 t/ha.
