Beet sugar production in Ukraine progressed to 850 thou. t

As of November 1st, plants in Ukraine produced 849.8 thou. t of sugar, the National Association of Sugar Producers of Ukraine (Ukrsugar) informs.

5.78 mln t of sugar beet were processed by the reporting date. 31 plants started beet sugar production season.

As estimated by the analytical department of Ukrsugar, sugar export in 2019/2020 should reach 300 thou. t.

As of October 31st, harvesting of sugar beet reached 7.7 mln t on 176 thou. ha. The crop is harvested using the average yield of 43.7 t/ha.
