Netherlands account for 19 pct of Ukrainian poultry meat supply

Poultry meat and edible poultry by-products export from Ukraine in the period of January–November of the current year reached 375.1 thou. t, 23% higher from the prior year's comparative period (303.89 thou. t), the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine informs.
In monetary terms, exports in 11M 2019 totalled USD 531.7 mln, 13% more from the corresponding period of the Y2018 (USD 471.96 mln).
The key importers of Ukrainian poultry meat and edible poultry by-products in the reporting period are as follows:
- the Netherlands — USD 101.2 mln (19.04%);
- Saudi Arabia — USD 96.2 mln (18.09%);
- Slovakia — USD 57.1 mln (10.73%);
- other countries — USD 277.3 (52.14%).
On November 26, the European Parliament passed an agreement between the EU and Ukraine on amendments to the economic part of the Association Agreement between the parties to increase the duty-free quota for export of Ukrainian poultry (chicken) meat to the EU member states.
