MHP provided UAH 15 mln for coronavirus relief efforts in Vinnytsya region

MHP agro-industrial holding provided UAH 15 mln for stemming the spread of coronavirus Covid-19 in Vinnytsya region.

"Chairman of Vinnytsya Regional State Administration Vladyslav Skalskyi in cooperation with MHP developed an operational plan to curb the spread of coronavirus. Today a commission has been created, and in the coming days the respective headquarters will start working," the company says in a statement.

As reported, a basic strategy to prevent coronavirus spread has already been developed. MHP procures 19 artificial lung ventilation (ALV) units complete with patient monitor and oxygen concentrator for all hospitals in Vinnytsya region, where infectious diseases departments are.

In addition, purchases of personal protective equipment will be made for Ladyzhyn City Hospital, Tulchyn and Trostyanets District Hospital, as more than 65% of MHP Vinnytsya employees live in these territories.

MHP will assist in the search for and acquisition of all necessary personal protective equipment and medical equipment through its logistics department expertise.

"By setting its own example, MHP calls on business, which is socially responsible and concerned about the fate of our country, to commit to funding and assistance in providing hospitals with priority equipment and personal protective equipment. Together, it is easier to face out today's challenges," the message reads.

As a reminder, MHP allocated UAH 14 mln for the purchase of priority equipment for hospitals and personal protective equipment in Cherkasy region.
