President will sign land market law in coming days, Presidential Commissioner for Land Affairs

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy will sign the Law No. 2178-10 "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine Regarding the Turnover of Agricultural Land" in the coming days, announced the Presidential Commissioner for Land Affairs Roman Leshchenko.

"The President will sign this historic law in the coming days. There were some regulatory matters in the part of the Verkhovna Rada (Parliament – ed.), the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada has already signed it in accordance with the Constitution and the Regulations Law. The President will soon assume his constitutional duty and will also sign this law. There is no doubt that it will be signed," he stated.

Roman Leshchenko stressed that the signing of the law has no impact on the sowing campaign which is currently carried out as planned in all regions of the country.

He reminded that the land market in Ukraine will start fully no earlier than July 1, 2021.

The Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Dmytro Razumkov signed the document on April 13.
