EVT grain terminal increases storage capacity to 350 thou. t

The first two silos of the Canadian company Ag Growth International (AGI) were assembled at the Evrovneshtorg (EVT) grain terminal in Mykolaiv. Before the start of the new season, 6 more such silos will be installed at the facility, the company says.

"Construction and installation works are on schedule. Ship-loading machine, technological equipment and silos have been ordered," comments Sergey Gunko, director of the port operator EVT Grain.

As reported, the installation of eight new silos 8800 m³ each is the third phase in the grain terminal development. Upon completion of the installation, the company's storage capacity will be 270 thou. t, currently 206 thou. t.

All 20 AGI silos will be installed at Evroveshtorg, thus the terminal's capacity will reach 350 thou. t of grain before the beginning of corn harvesting.

Previously the company reported the start of the new berth construction works.

EVT provided for the transshipment of 1.52 mln t of cargo in 2019. At the complex berth, 67 vessels were handled. Wheat accounted for more than half of the total cargo turnover.
