China booked over 4 mln t of US soybean — Braun
China has contracted 4.04 mln t of US soybeans as of June 25 for delivery in 2020/21, Global Agriculture Columnist at Thomson Reuters Karen Braun writes on Twitter.
According to her, this volume is the most for the date since 2014.
"Have to keep an eye on sales of soybeans to non-China destinations. As of June 25, sales for 2020/21 totalled 2.9 mln t (42% of total). That is near average for recent years. Better than last year but not as good as 2018 (which was anomalously high)," Karen Braun comments.
Soybean stocks in Ukraine as of June 1, 2020, dropped 2.4x YoY to 431 thou. t. On the reporting date last year, soybean stocks totalled 1.94 mln t.
