Volyn-Zerno-Product cropland grew 10x within a decade

The agricultural company Volyn-Zerno-Product which has its business concentrated in Volyn and Rivne regions has accumulated 30 thou. ha of farmland since 2011. The agroholding rents land shares from 14 thou. land owners, the founder of the company Yevhen Dudka says in an interview with Volyn.

He marks that back in 2011 Volyn-Zerno-Product rented 3.3 thou. ha.

The company is currently constructing a Swiss-made Bühler flour milling plant.

"We are simultaneously preparing to launch a dairy farm for 2,500 dairy cattle, the total capacity of a complex will be 6,000 cattle head. In total we have invested UAH 1.19 bln in development during 2011-20," he marks.

According to Yevhen Dudka, the company has increased its elevator capacity from 90,000 t of storage to 380,000 t.

"The old floor storage warehouses were replaced by new silo-type storages. Powerful but energy-saving dryers have been put into operation. An electronic queue for faster acceptance of vehicles with grain has been set up, with information displayed on a scoreboard, and automatic samplers have been installed. Laboratory equipment has been significantly upgraded," he comments.

Volyn-Zerno-Product has introduced a new business area — commercial cooperation with agriproducers.

"We have created a cooperative-like community. The idea is to set up grain and resource centers at the main grain elevators so that our partners can sell their products profitably and provide themselves with the necessary agricultural inputs: seeds, protection products, fertilizers and diesel fuel. We have also begun to provide farm machinery and support services," Yevhen Dudka adds.

The company now specializes in grain, oilseed and industrial crops production, cereals processing and storage services, livestock farming.
