Risoil's Khajishvili withdrew from Kherson port concession project

Co-owner of RISOIL group of companies Shota Khajishvili left the project on the concession of state-owned property in Kherson Sea Port, Ports.ua reports.

"I left the Kherson project, and I have no involvement whatsoever. The group that won the concession tender will continue the effort to make it happen. I hope that by the end of the year they will actually be able to manage the port of Kherson to fully utilize its capacity," explains Shota Khajishvili.

He notes that he does not regret the initial decision to participate with partners in the pilot project of public-private partnership in the ports.

"It's an experience, we were the first ones. I hope it will be successful as I see how they choose to approach future investments, how they work with partners who will build, restore the fleet, create jobs. Unfortunately, many employees of Kherson port are underqualified. But the basis is formed, and then the rest will follow," believes Shota Khajishvili.

For context, Risoil signed an agreement on participation in a concession project in the Port of Kherson in July 2020.
